standards and personal service At Kingsdale we pride ourselves on a first class service to all our clients. On the retirement
side, standards are very much driven by the Association of Retirement Housing
Managers (ARHM) Code of Practice. Kingsdale is a member of the ARHM and we work in full compliance with their Code of Practice. We also adhere to the National House Building Council (NHBC) Sheltered Housing Code and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Code of Practice. Whilst such Codes provide a vital benchmark for acceptable standards, the real test is what actually happens on the ground. The Kingsdale management concept is unique in that we report directly to a Board of Directors who are elected by and represent the Leaseholders. We report quarterly on both finance and management issues, thus involving the Board and Leaseholders in the running of their development. Each year we have two meetings with all Leaseholders. As an independent company, we are not tied to any particular supplier or contractor. We can therefore give unbiased advice and provide comparative quotations for the services we offer, ensuring value for money for Leaseholders. Be wary of agents offering you a total package using associated companies you may well be paying well over the odds. We also operate to the very demanding standards now required by legislation and regulation. We have available to us the services of consultants specialising in building, health & safety, insurance, engineering, food standards and first aid consultants. We have comprehensive procedures in place for water and electrical testing, lift safety, risk assessment, fire and smoke systems and we even test lightning conductors! Finally, we have four Directors who have many years experience in property management, particularly leasehold retirement. They know what the leasehold and property management business is about, appreciate the needs and aspirations of Leaseholders and understand that their job is about customer service service that is second to none.
