Browning Court celebrated the birthday of their first owner to reach 100 years old! The owner has lived at the development for 7 years and enjoyed a quiet celebration with friends and family.
A massive £600 was raised by the owners, friends and families for MacMillan Cancer Research. Homemade cakes, biscuits and owners' crafts were sold. A raffle also contributed to the amazing total. Well done everyone!
In honor of the Queen’s 90th birthday, we held our own Royal fancy dress party with high tea and an afternoon of music and dancing. We enjoyed a fish and chip supper evening followed by a film night in support of the RNLI. Our MacMillan Coffee Morning was a great success and brought the local community together. In support of the Wirral Festival of Firsts, our social committee hosted a fantastic exhibition of childhood memorabilia which was a huge success and raised £220 for Claire House.
This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning held on Thursday, 29th September was a great success!
Thanks to the generosity of the Darwin Manor residents we raised an amazing £324.55!
Residents enjoyed coffee/tea and a selection of lovely cakes, all homemade. Once again we had a ‘Spot the Cake’ competition to guess how many spots are on the cake in exchange for a £1 donation with a prize for the person nearest to the correct number of spots – revealed on the day! In addition there was a raffle with a range of prizes donated by the residents themselves.
This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning held on Thursday 29th September 2016 was our best ever. Thanks to the generosity of our Owners, we raised an amazing £637!
We enjoyed coffee/tea and a selection of lovely homemade cakes kindly made by some of our Owners.
We sold hats, scarfs and soft toys very generously knitted by one of our Owners and we held a raffle, the most successful one we have ever had.
