The Knitting Group at Pegasus have been hard at work again producing wonderful knitted items for ‘The Mission for Seafarers’. It’s not all hard work though as the ladies enjoy a cuppa and natter at the same time! A great afternoon’s work!

We have scoured the country to bring you the very best performers for tonight’s auditions. From singing to poems and tap dancing or rather dancing with the tap, jokes, origami and line dancing, it was a very successful night at Deercote Court. Deercote Court would like to wish Mrs Munro and Mrs Rooke many happy returns on their special day, and many more years to come in good health and happiness. Owners at Deercote Court and their guests celebrated Valentine’s Day with fine dining and a Valentine’s swing sing along. What better way is there to celebrate than a Brompton coffee morning with warm Welsh cakes. John was back on his organ, playing a few Welsh tunes for our Welsh ladies, Olwyn and Eira. We had a good turnout!
On Saturday 17th February the owners at Eastbank court were invited to celebrate Mr Bailey’s 70th Birthday. His family had very kindly organised for ‘The London Soprano’ to attend to sing some classical opera as well as some musical favourites. This was a surprise for Mr Bailey and he commented on how well we had kept the secret as he had no idea. After listening to the wonderful performance everyone enjoyed food and drinks whilst Mr Evans very kindly played some music on his electric piano. The festivities continued late into the evening and was a great success. Mr Bailey was extremely grateful for all the work that had gone into making his birthday so special!
Pre-Christmas lunch Owners could treat their friends and family to a nice three course Christmas dinner. On Christmas Day Owners got together for a glass of mulled wine and mince pies followed by a great meal at lunch.
It was a night ooh what a night
It was, it really was such a night The moon was bright, oh, how so bright It was, it really was such a night Fish & Chips Full House last night Ladies and gentlemen Elvis left the building… What a busy December it was here at Browning Court! We had a brass band performance, an evening supper and a performance by the Rat Pack Singers. Our Boxing Day buffet and New Year's Eve celebrations, filled with Champagne, were thoroughly enjoyed by owners and their families and friends.
On a cold winter’s night, we had a good number on Thursday 11th January for our ever-popular Beetle Drive… 'Beetle' is simply a game of rolling dice and drawing a beetle! Hosted by fellow residents, John and Margaret Guthrie, our owners turn up and join in for a simple but fun evening at Brompton.
