Mrs Pauline Clarke celebrated her 90th Birthday in the garden at Darwin Manor. A wonderful celebration enjoyed by all.
Darwin Manor held their Pimm's, Scones and Strawberries afternoon on 10th July 2019, making use of the brilliant new garden furniture. What a lovely way for our owners to spend an afternoon!
On the 31st October, Darwin residents sat down to a Fish 'N' Chip supper which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning held on Thursday, 29th September was a great success!
Thanks to the generosity of the Darwin Manor residents we raised an amazing £324.55! Residents enjoyed coffee/tea and a selection of lovely cakes, all homemade. Once again we had a ‘Spot the Cake’ competition to guess how many spots are on the cake in exchange for a £1 donation with a prize for the person nearest to the correct number of spots – revealed on the day! In addition there was a raffle with a range of prizes donated by the residents themselves. The residents of Darwin Manor enjoyed an Easter Themed Coffee morning with home baked cakes and an Easter bonnet! Pauline Clarke was the winner of the 'Guess the Number of Easter Eggs in the Basket' game.
Here at Darwin Manor in Cambourne we are delighted to have two couples who have celebrated Diamond Wedding anniversaries in the last two years. Roy and Eileen Blythe were the first to reach the milestone in November 2014 followed, on Boxing Day last year, by Geoff and Enid Garrick. Both couples have been residents of Darwin Manor for a number of years.
The MacMillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 24th September was really well supported and raised a total of £150! The Coffee Morning included a raffle and 'Guess the Number of Spots on the Cake' competition!
