Farthing Court forms a new Choir

Christmas cheer arrived when our successful Book Circle hosted their Christmas Lunch. Our traditionally themed Christmas tree enhanced our newly decorated and refurbished lounge.
Owners enjoyed a talk on the history of posh shopping in Mayfair which was followed by the film High Society. Chanukah tea was one of the most delightful events of December.
Our Christmas day lunch and Boxing day buffet proved to be a great success. The end of 2014 was reserved for White Christmas.
2015 has begun with the formation of a Court Choir. Exercise classes have resumed together with a busy social calendar.

What's new at Pegasus Court & Lodge...

The Christmas events were a huge success with Court and Lodge Owners enjoying a festive buffet, annual Carol singing with the Salvation Army, and a seasonal afternoon tea and quiz. 2015 will be a busy year with internal redecoration planned for the communal areas. The Garden Committee will soon be meeting to discuss summer planting. The weekly coffee mornings, afternoon teas, flexercise and Tai Chi continue with additional events planned by the Social Committee each month, including film shows, wine tasting and much more!

New calendar of activities for 2015 at Montrose Court

Christmas was a busy time. The lighting of the tree was accompanied by mulled wine and mince pies. The festive season continued with a parties to celebrate any special day! Christmas Lunch was shared by forty Owners and was followed by carols around the piano led by the Court Manager. The Social Committee are busy planning an interesting calendar of activities. These include film nights on the big screen, visiting speakers, the literary group and theatre trips.

Weekly entertainment planned for Gressland Court

Enjoy your retirement at Gressland Court. We celebrated the Christmas season with owners lunches and plenty of entertainment. We have variable weekly entertainment planned for 2015 including BBQ’s in the garden. We have special themed supper nights including Burns night, Chinese and Indian nights. There will be Owners celebrating their birthdays in style with a nice afternoon tea with all the owners. We are having a redecoration in the communal areas in the New Year with LED lighting being installed.

Gresham Court - Quiz Night coming in February

We had a very busy spell socially over the Christmas and New Year period. In mid December we held a concert of Christmas music and served mulled wine and mince pies. Our very popular annual pre Christmas lunch was organised just before Christmas for Owners and their guests.
Christmas Day was pleasantly spent with lunch for Owners who chose to spend Christmas with us, and special lunches were well attended on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. A New Year’s Eve social with drinks and canapés was also enjoyed.
Coming up we have a Quiz Night planned for February and on Shrove Tuesday traditional pancakes will be served. In addition our regular weekly coffee mornings, afternoon teas and armchair Keep Fit classes will be taking place, and a monthly cheese and wine evening.

New LED lighting for Deercote Court

December was a busy months with lots of activities organised for the Owners . They enjoyed great social events with the Christmas spirit very evident. The New Year will bring a busy calendar including coffee mornings, afternoon teas, bingo, quiz nights, music events, speakers, entertainers and trips out. We are looking forward to hosting several birthday parties too. New LED lighting is being installed in the communal areas in the Spring and the completion of our communal redecorations will be underway shortly.

Browning Court - Fabulous food & excellent service

Fabulous food, excellent service, gorgeous decorations and an abundance of events. The words of the owners who enjoyed all that we had to offer over the Festive Season – Rapport theatre group, Carol Service with mulled wine & mince pies, Owners party and a Christmas Market.
2015 kicks off with a visit from Goldmere ladies fashions, coffee mornings, film nights and a talk with Jonathan Smith on Bourne Mineral Water. Join us!

Christmas fun at Brook Court

The Christmas period is always fun at Brook Court. We kicked off with the Christmas tree going up on 1st December and celebrate the lights being switched on with a glass of sherry and mince pie.
A Pre Christmas Dinner was enjoyed by all on Tuesday 9th and the following Friday we had 34 children from Meadows School Choir to sing Christmas Carols and Songs to us which was delightful.
The Christmas Day lunch was well attended and enjoyed by all.
The owners gathered in the lounge to celebrate the New Year with music, games and a quiz. A Buffet was held New Years Day.
The Social Committee have been busy arranging a varied calendar of events for 2015 including the pantomime, guest speakers and entertainers.
This year’s project is to replace the corridor lights with LED fittings which will reduce the Court’s electricity costs.

Festivities at Brompton Court

The Court was beautifully decorated for the Christmas celebrations. The Great Hall looked amazing. Owners enjoyed excellent food, good company and great social events. The annual Burns Supper was held at the end of January. Owners enjoy a wide range of activities including bridge, scrabble, knitting circle and special suppers. A large herbaceous bed in the garden is having a “make over” in the Spring.

Alston Court welcomes 2015

Alston Court had a busy December. It started with the lighting of the tree, followed by the Christmas party. Children from the local school came and sang together with a carol concert which raised money for charities. Christmas Day was celebrated with a lunch that was enjoyed by everyone. The Owners celebrated the arrival of 2015 with a party in the lounge. The Owners are looking forward to a busy social calendar including coffee mornings, chat nights and quiz evening.
