We held our Macmillan coffee morning this morning; some lovely cakes were donated and so far we have raised £169.51.
A lovely morning to enjoy a Coffee in the garden joined by our two furry friends , Indie and Monkey.
The social committee at Brackenbury Manor organised for the owners to collect food items, toiletries and knit hats for Jimmy’s Night Shelter. Jimmy’s came to give a talk about the work they do and collect the items donated.
A craft fair was held in the owners' lounge at Brackenbury Manor which was well attended with both owners and visitors buying Christmas gifts.
A Christmas card sale also took place on Thursday's coffee morning in aid of the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity which was enjoyed by all. Brackenbury Manor held their annual MacMillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 26th September. The event was well supported and thanks to the owners we raised £302.04! We enjoyed tea and coffee and some lovely homemade cakes.
The Community Trishaw came to Brackenbury to give the owners a spin. It can be booked to take you to the shops or into the village, even if you just fancy an afternoon ride, the volunteers are happy to take you.
An afternoon of Pimm's and Strawberries took place Wednesday in the lounge at Brackenbury Manor, where everyone enjoyed a glass or two and a bowl of local Strawberries and cream.
A clothes show was also held at the weekly coffee morning, where the ladies could browse and try on garments before buying. The event was well attended and we all look forward to the next show in the Autumn. |
