Evesham Country Park was also a great success. The return journey through the Cotswolds and was most enjoyable.
A trip to Weston-Super-Mare was thoroughly enjoyed by all who went. It was a lovely sunny day in August and the coach driver made the most of the weather by taking the scenic route back to Eastbank Court.

Our owners joined us on the decking and gardens for another quality Jazz evening this month at Brompton Court. The owners enjoyed BBQ food cooked by our Duty Manager, Ben, chilled wine & beer, a great jazz band and great company. Suzie, our Duty Manager, did a great job in planning the event. Owners had a fabulous time and even enjoyed a little dance once the food had gone down.
Although the weather has been disappointing we are still enjoying the summer. A group of Pegasus Court/Lodge Owners went to Cardiff by mini-bus for the day recently and another trip is planned to Bath in September. There's plenty happening on the Seafront of course, and we're spoilt by having Clarence Park so close (with it's excellent cafe). Some more sunshine would be the icing on the cake.
Duty Managers Ben Thacker and Suzie Foulkes have been busy organising our first summer Fete at the Court, raising essential funds for a local hospice, Forest Holme in our neighbouring town of Poole. The event was opened by The Worshipful, The Mayor & Mayoress of Bournemouth, Councillor & Mrs Lawrence Williams. The Mayor & Mayoress joined David Cooke (chairman) on our patio and spent plenty of time chatting with our Owners and enjoyed the selection of goodies that our stallholders had to offer. The Mayoress commented that she had always wanted to have a look around our gardens as she had admired them from her Town hall offices situated next door to the development. The Fete was well attended by our Owners, their friends & family. We raised an incredible £271 on our raffle alone. The prizes included a Magnum of Prosecco and several donated prizes from our stallholders. It was lovely to see that the sun joined us half way through the event making every ones day as rain was predicted. In total we raised £456 to be donated to Forest Holme Hospice. A fantastic effort from us all.
Sue Richards has resigned from Queen Anne Court after nine years’ service to take up a new role in a veterinary practice. The Owners hosted a coffee morning when she was presented with many cards, gifts and flowers. Sue had been manager since the Court opened and had welcomed many Owners to their new homes. She will be missed by Owners and staff.
We now have a waiting list, but apartments are coming on the market on a regular basis so keep in touch. New owners have been welcomed in April, May , June and July with 3 more arrivals due in August.
Recent events this summer have included two charity garden parties for Marie Curie and Breast Cancer Care and one organised by the Social Group. Up and coming events include a Summer picnic lunch in the garden and a Pimms night BBQ. It’s all go! We are extremely proud to be part of a recording session this Wednesday morning. Our owners had a chance to be pop stars by sharing their voices for inclusion in a group’s first album. Daniel, Mark, Pete, Billy and Ralph asked us to wait until January for details as the album and group will have a full press launch.
