Recent events in March and April have included two bingo afternoons, two film nights, St. Patrick's Day and St. George's Day lunches, a Mother's Day lunch and an Easter Sunday lunch.
The Social Group have also been busy with a fish and chip supper, an afternoon of music with Carla and Tim, two afternoon tea parties and a midweek coffee morning in aid of Arthur Rank. Ruth Bradbury at 104 is still going strong! Up and coming events include a Coronation Sunday lunch and a Red Cross Caring Cuppa Tea in the Garden. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! Happy 80th Birthday to Joan Ogden who celebrated in style with a Indian themed evening at Brompton Court. Our guest chef Nick produced the most tasteful, fragrant and beautiful Indian buffet for her guests. Suzie our Duty Manager planned and organised this great birthday bash from decorations, entertainment and all the important finishing touches. Joan would like to thank all who attended and celebrated with her, as well as the staff and chef for making her special birthday one to remember. Brompton had a jam-packed Easter weekend with delight after delight. We started the weekend with hot cross buns on Good Friday over a chat and a cuppa. This was followed by an amazing Easter Sunday lunch served in our dining room for our owners, family and friends. Our chef created a beautiful Easter themed menu for all to enjoy and the waiting team dressed to impress. We finished off with a spectacle buffet lunch on Bank Holiday Monday, once again our chef pulled out all the stops. A massive thank you to all the staff, including our chef and duty managers who worked throughout the weekend to support, run and make these fantastic events happen. Owners enjoyed an afternoon of Bingo and hot cross buns to celebrate Easter at Brackenbury Manor. A fantastic £88 was raised for the HiFriends Mini Bus Fund. Owners and their guests enjoyed a lovely afternoon of Easter Arts and Crafts followed by hot cross buns served with tea or coffee. Everyone seemed to have fun and looked very happy to participate in this event. Congratulations to the lucky winners who have won prizes for the best bunny, the best egg and the best effort.
