A busy Boxing Day at Brompton court with over 30 owners and family for lunch cooked by chef (John). Our Duty Manager’s Lynne and Sally ran the show with a super helping hand from Tracy, Anna and Teresa (waitresses). Owners were still in the Christmas sprit on the day pulling Christmas crackers and wearing their paper hats with pride.
Owners enjoyed the festive day at Brompton Court with a 'sherry drinks reception', followed by a beautiful 3 course Christmas lunch with wine, and coffee and mints for after in our Great Hall. Thank you to Chef (Marcin), our Duty Manager’s Suzie and Ben, and our fantastic waitresses Tracy and Sarah for making it a very Merry Christmas for all.
The owners at Browning Court were treated to two amazing musical performances, including 'River Dance', on the cello and violin from one of the owners Daughters, Sara. The afternoon was comlimented with home made cheese straws and wine, also provided by Sara. As a thank you, the owners presented her with a basket of beautiful red flowers.
All the staff at Brompton took part in the national Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for Save the Children Charity. Staff wore their Christmas jumpers and t-shirts with pride all day while carrying out their daily duties here at Brompton. If you look hard enough you will see our very own Ralph the red nose reindeer!
The streets of Hoylake surrounding Montrose Court have been beautifully decorated with pink blossom lights following sponsorship from local groups and businesses. The tree was sponsored on behalf of the owners at Montrose Court. They are delighted as it is the first tree to be seen on entering Hoylake.
Thurman Lodge organised a 90th Birthday party with a buffet and a beautiful cake. This came as a complete surprise to the owner as she had no idea it had been arranged.
Montrose has welcomed new staff member Elaine Lampkin to our housekeeping department, she has quickly become a wonderful addition to the team. We congratulate our Duty Manager Michelle Heron who has just married her long-time partner John.
We welcomed the return of Rosemary and her choir to Brompton Court. The choir sing to raise funds for local charities, they visit many venues throughout the year. Owners came along and listened to a collection of traditional and modern carols with a mince pie and glass of mulled wine. Suzie and Ann along with some outside help from Suzie’s husband made the evening a great success.
