Congratulations to John and Valerie, John and Shirley, Bob and Rita, and Frank and Pat on their 65th Wedding Anniversary.

A fabulous celebration took place at Holmesdale Manor on Wednesday the 25th August and all thanks to Valerie, who arranged the whole event.

After being in some form of lockdown for the last 18 months it was great to finally get the residents together for their annual summer BBQ which took place on Wednesday 18th September.  The Evening was a great success with everyone enjoying some delicious food and glasses of sangria.  The sun shone which was a bonus as earlier in the day we weren’t sure that the weather would be on our side!  A big thank you to the staff that gave up their evening off to help, to Nicki who produced all the food, to the residents for making the evening such a great success and to the social committee for their kind donation towards costs.

Having been the General Manager of Eastbank Court for almost 6 months it was great to be able to deliver a wonderful evening for our residents and see everyone enjoying themselves, introducing new residents and seeing new friendships being formed.  It has been a testing time for all over the last 18 months and it is fantastic to finally be able to get back to some form of normality.  We are hoping that this is a sign of things to come!

Mrs Pauline Clarke celebrated her 90th Birthday in the garden at Darwin Manor.  A wonderful celebration enjoyed by all.

​Congratulations to our General Manager of Deercote Court, Ewa.  After a long wait charities started to accept hair donations again, and on 30th of June she decided to make a hair donation to the Little Princess Trust.
 
Last year, the above charity provided almost 2,000 real hair wigs, free of charge, to young people who lost their hair through cancer treatment and other conditions. 
 
Well done Ewa! 

What a wonderful job Colin our gardener is doing here at Brompton.  According to him, the Court hasn’t looked this beautiful in years, he is very pleased with the incredible array of colour that has resulted from so much sun and rain!  Many compliments received from our Owners who have the pleasure of walking the grounds and enjoying our wonderful “English Garden”.

Huge Congratulations go to our Brompton Court Manager Laura Jacobs, and her husband Matt, on the safe arrival of their baby girl Lottie Amy, born Friday 30th July!  What a bundle of joy, making the “pigeon pair” complete for the happy couple!  We wish Mother & Baby all the best for the coming weeks ahead. 

So good to see our very first Owner, John Penn-Simkins, using the newly installed Electric Car Charger.  Available to all Visitors and Owners alike, we are proud to be the first in the Kingsdale Group to be able to offer this service!
