We held our MacMillan Coffee morning today, which was very busy with lots a cake eaten, and a brilliant sum of £330 raised!
Back in July 2017, Hinchley Manor was refurbished, which included new furniture, and new décor including curtains and cushions. In 2019, Hinchley Manor went one step further and added in automatic doors, and in February 2020, the car parking bays were repainted.
These are just a few of the maintenance works that keep Hinchley Manor looking fresh and welcoming. As you can see from the photos, the garden is looking lovely, and all the tables and chairs were cleaned and repainted ready for all the owners to enjoy the sunshine. The external decoration has now been completed which has left both buildings looking clean and fresh. We held a Macmillan coffee morning on Friday 25 September which is always well supported by our Owners and raised a total of £380. This was due to selling tickets for a tombola stand, count the spots on a cake competition and the auction of a homemade cake donated by one of our Owners. Also, our social committee now organise afternoon films in the lounge on a monthly basis. We are now in the process of organising our Christmas lunch, sherry & mince pies and the local primary school choir to come and sing Christmas carols.
The garden is now looking great with newly planted summer bedding in the pots and beds, and the External Decoration is now under way; proposed new corridor lighting will complete the refreshed look. Owners are enjoying a varied social calendar of film nights, bridge and scrabble afternoons and lunches at local restaurants. The popular Pimms and strawberries afternoon was great fun, and we will soon be planning our Christmas lunch.
