Wow what a weekend, fabulous weather every day and we ended the weekend with an amazing event. A three course buffet menu prepared by our Chef Fernanda in our dining room followed by The Polly Morris Comedy Folk Song Band outside in our stunning gardens and decking area. Owners danced the afternoon away and enjoyed the late afternoon weather under the protect of our gazebo’s from the sunshine. A big thank you to Suzie and Carole, our Duty Managers, for running the vent with the help of Mariza, Teresa, Saka, and Daniel.

Coronation week proved to be very busy in Farthing Court. Alongside delicious bank holiday lunches and a get together tea afternoon on the day of the coronation of HM King Charles III we were proud of taking part in two charity events as well. The first one became a popular Monday afternoon activity. Our Owners are having a good time while packing tea bags for Food Bank Aid. We’ve bagged up 31900 teabags which will help 797 families. Well done all!
The second event was Sally’s participation in a 5k Race for Life held in Regents Park for Cancer Research UK. Our Owner Sally took part in memory of her sister Judy Kazarnovsky and a former Owner in Farthing Court. Huge congratulations to Sally and Mirilee!
Brackenbury Manor enjoyed a Coronation Tea Party to celebrate King Charles III. All bunting was knitted by members of the Social Group.
Owners at Deercote Court planted a Rhododendron to commemorate the coronation of King Charles lll. What a great way to mark this Royal occasion and to remember this historic event in years to come.
Holmesdale Manor celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III with a lovely party for the bank holiday. A special thanks to the social committee for organising the event. Lots of bubbly was toasted and the food was delicious.
We started the lead up early with a Kings Coronation display by our Duty Manager Suzie and Mrs Jones, Suzie used her talented craft skills to make us a Crown and Mrs Jones chalk drew a picture of King Charles III. What a weekend! We kicked off on Friday with our monthly chat club following the Coronation theme with some beautiful cakes made by Jenny Shieldhouse which looked and tasted fabulous. On Saturday owners enjoyed the Kings Coronation ceremony played on our big screen with our tea and coffee station on hand to see them through. Sunday evening we had the big screen back in action again to show the Coronation Concert with amazing acts and light show. Monday's Bank Holiday finished off the weekend perfectly with our King’s Coronation Tea Party & Singalong; owners put on their posh hats and glad rags and joined us for a Royal Tea Party with a sing-a-long to many of our favourite tunes… I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, Maybe Its Because I’m a Londoner, Daisy Daisy, Lambeth Walk and many more. All washed down with a class of prosecco, scones, sandwiches and tasty mini cakes. We dressed the dining room and tables to match the theme all weekend for our diners to enjoy too. Brompton would like to give a massive thank you to Suzie our Duty Manager for all her hard work on planning the whole weekend events and decoration in and around the Court. Also a special thank you to Carole for working hard running the events and to Tracy and Teresa for their amazing outfits for Monday’s Tea Party. We had an extravaganza of celebrations over the Coronation weekend which consisted of a special lunch served with a glass of Champagne and an afternoon tea party with amazing decorations, vintage crockery and a singer who started us off with 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square' and continued through the afternoon providing us with lovely entertainment.
Eastbank Court all came together to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III. The owners gathered in the bar on Saturday to watch the coronation together and enjoy a slice of cake and some Pimms. On Sunday all were entertained by the ‘D-Day Dollies’ singing some wartime classics along with some musical favourites. As the sun was shining the owners then enjoyed scones and Pimms outside in the garden. A very successful celebration which was enjoyed by all.
On the 29th March a group of owners enjoyed a trip to Webbs Garden Centre for a good look around followed by tea and cake. Transport to and from Eastbank Court was provided by Worcester Wheels for the outing. The owners who attended all had a lovely afternoon. Thank you to the board directors for organising this trip.
On the evening of the 23rd February the owners at Eastbank were entertained by the Worcester Ukulele Club. A big thank you to the social club for organising the evening, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
Brompton welcomed in the 1st May with a three course sit down lunch and we extended a very warm welcome return to Veronika & Graham, the superb flute & guitar duo known as Czeckmate. They played a mix of classical, jazz and modern popular music from the 16th century to the present day for our owners to enjoy. |
