A very special lady, Mrs Margaret Harvey celebrated her 100th birthday on Thursday the 23rd of July. She enjoyed champagne and chocolates from Kingsdale and a lovely day out with her family. On her return her neighbours at Holmesdale Manor were waiting for a surprise happy birthday sing along. Happy birthday Margaret!

Owners enjoyed a social distancing Caribbean evening hosted by our Duty Manager Lynne. Thank you so much to chef John for his Caribbean themed menu and to our staff Kelly and Teresa for looking after our owners. The cocktails went down a treat and with Jorge providing some traditional Caribbean music and some songs we all know it was a holiday at home. Our staff and owners even enjoyed some social distancing dancing and social interaction. It was a great success and very much needed for our owners mental health and wellbeing. Once again a big thank you to Lynne for all her hard work and to chef Raf, Kelly and Teresa for making the evening a wonderful and colourful event.
We delivered a tasty French breakfast with patisseries and warm croissants with butter and strawberry jam, also accompanied with a fresh orange juice. This was thoroughly enjoyed. Ooh la la!
Wow, just take a look at some of the beautiful blooms at Brompton Court; thank you so much to our owner for his fabulous pictures taken over the weekend. Our gardens are really coming to life and owners have been enjoying all the added colours coming daily.
When Brompton Court was developed from an old hospital building before opening in 2000, the designers kept many of the original features and charm including the beautiful walkway with beams and chapel entrance into our Great Hall (coffee lounge and evets space). All owners and visitors get to enjoy this beautiful walk through of our courtyard when entering reception or the dining room at Brompton Court. Several of our apartments get the pleasure of this glorious view and sound of the fountain outside their front doors. We have daily visits from a family of doves who use the fountain to bath and drink. Brompton celebrated Mr Harrison's 90th Birthday with the Land Girls and some 70’s entertainment. Even though everyone had to be at least one meter apart they had a fabulous time. Mr Harrison provided all his guests with Pimms, Cream Tea, Prosecco and Birthday cake. Thank you to Suzie, our Duty Manager, for organising the event and making the amazing birthday cake for our rugby fan birthday boy! Also a big thank you to Carole, Tracy, Teresa and Kelly for running the event along side Suzie.
