Bowling's MacMillan Coffee Morning

On Friday 27th September the owners at the Bowling Green held a coffee morning to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support. The event was organised and hosted by the Residents’ Committee Chairperson, Janet Ridgway, and family and friends were invited. As well as cakes and fancy goods for sale there were raffles, a tombola and a guess the number of berries on a cake competition.

Over £500 was raised for the charity and everyone had a lovely time.

Raising Money for MacMillan at Eastbank

Eastbank Court had a very successful MacMillan coffee morning on the 27th September, raising an amazing £722. Money was raised from the lovely cakes made from the kitchen staff and the raffle, which was organised from one of the residents. Well done to all the residents, friends, family and staff who participated.

MacMillan Coffee Morning at Priory Manor

The residents of Priory Manor held their annual Macmillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 26 September. Many residents contributed lots of handicrafts and, of course, lots of cakes and baked goodies. Together with a raffle, an amazing £600 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. The Social Committee would like to thank everyone for their fantastic support for this very worthwhile charity.

Annual MacMillan Coffee Morning

Brackenbury Manor held their annual MacMillan Coffee Morning on Thursday 26th September. The event was well supported and thanks to the owners we raised £302.04! We enjoyed tea and coffee and some lovely homemade cakes.

Today we held a coffee morning in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support and we raised nearly £150.00. Karen, one the of Duty Mangers, baked the cakes. Well done to all.

A Special 90th Birthday...

Montrose Court were delighted to host a special birthday celebration for owner Mrs Diana Bevan. Family and friends travelled from afar to spend the afternoon drinking bubbly and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. A wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, quizzes and music. Mrs Beavan generously declined all offers of birthday gifts and instead suggested donations be made to a local group – Hoylake and Meols in Bloom who tend to the flowers and plants in the local area all year round.

Mediterranean Tapas Night

We held a Mediterranean Tapas Night here at Gressland Court. We started the evening off with Tomato Essence (Raymond Blanc recipe) followed by an array of delicious food prepared by Jane our Chef.
