Simon, the son of one of our owners, performed in the Gresham Court lounge for Christmas on the 17th December. Some of our owners got up and had a dance. We hope Simon can come again!
Gresham Court enjoyed a lovely evening of carols performed by the Purley Baptist Church accompanied by Cello and piano. Phil Beal performed a seasonal reading and every one enjoyed having a good sing. A special thanks to Alan who organised and Duty Manager Alex who hosted. On November the 2nd Gresham Court owners enjoyed an excellent fireworks display. A special thank you to Duty Manager Lucy and Chef Kim who helped with the event. On the 30th of October, Manager James hosted a bingo afternoon which was well attended. Bingo remains a firm favourite of our owners.
Bingo Prize Night on the 5th of April was well attended and popular as always! Cassie was a wonderful announcer.
Race Night on the 17th of May. The owners enjoyed a night of fun betting on the horses for set prizes. Alex organised the event. Pimm’s Evening on the 28th of June. Canapés and Pimm’s were served with a non-alcoholic alternative. James and Sandra hosted. The owners at Gresham Court had a lovely cold meat platter with a vegetarian option to wind down after the Christmas lunch on Boxing Day. Sadly no photos were taken for Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve but all events were well attended and thoroughly enjoyed. We had a very enjoyable carol concert at Gresham on the 16th of December, with over 30 people in attendance. Lots of mulled wine and mince pies were eaten! Purley Baptist Church provided the choir, keyboard and saxophone player. A special thanks to Alan for helping to organise this wonderful event.
Pimm’s Night
On Friday 30th June the Owners at Gresham enjoyed an informal Pimm’s Night with canapés. It was well attended and everyone had a great time! Thanks to Sandra for helping. Bingo Evening On Friday 4th August, back by popular demand, we held an evening of Bingo. Many prizes were won, including wine and chocolates, two of our ladies had most of the luck. Thank you to Cassie for organising the event. Firework Night On the 27th October fireworks were launched after a lovely bangers and mash meal. Lesley was a wonderful hostess.
Whilst it’s still cold outside Gresham owners enjoyed a traditional Fish and Chip supper on Saturday evening, with a bit of fun added to it. Great food, a raffle and laughter were very much enjoyed by the Owners. All thanks go to our Duty Manager Alex and our housekeeping assistant Haby for making it happen. And of course, we can’t forget our little four-paw visitor Louie who enjoyed loads of cuddles.
We enjoyed a Pre-Christmas lunch of turkey and all the trimmings prepared by our great cook Nuno. Fantastic food, good wine and amazing company made a great atmosphere at Gresham Court. We then welcomed owners and their guests to Gresham Court to enjoy a Christmas day feast. Thanks to our amazing cook Sean and Duty Manager Alex for organising a brilliant meal.
Yet again our Owners enjoyed a BBQ on the terrace and was attended by lots of our residents and several guests as well. The food and wine were well received, and we had a great afternoon, enjoying the glorious sunshine. Thanks to our cook Sean and all the staff for their help.
