Whilst it’s still cold outside Gresham owners enjoyed a traditional Fish and Chip supper on Saturday evening, with a bit of fun added to it.  Great food, a raffle and laughter were very much enjoyed by the Owners.  All thanks go to our Duty Manager Alex and our housekeeping assistant Haby for making it happen.  And of course, we can’t forget our little four-paw visitor Louie who enjoyed loads of cuddles.

Bournemouth Town Centre is a fantastic hub, showcasing many wonderful local singers and musicians.  Over the years, with thanks to owners such as Tony and Roy going out and about into town, they have talent spotted artists who have become regular entertainers here at Brompton.  Once again, with thanks to these gentlemen, we had the pleasure to introduce the delightful Rebecca Orlandi, or ‘RebbyO’ (her stage name), to our owners.

Rebecca is an Italian singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist.  She is a student in Bournemouth, studying English and performs as a street artist with her guitar in her free time.  Her favourite phrase is ‘happiness is only real when shared’.  She draws a good crowd when performing!

Inspired by an array of musical influences, she delivers a unique interpretation of internationally famous songs, singing acoustically with her guitar.  During the evening, Rebecca will sing a mix of English and Italian songs, accompanied by the guitar and she is excited to be able to play on the piano too.

Olivera, Duty Manager at Farthing Court, had the pleasure to visit India in December last year and be a guest at the wedding of the daughter of Mary, one of our Housekeeping Assistants.  The wedding was in Mumbai.

Overwhelmed with the beauty of the country and the warm welcome of people there, she shared her experience and showed photos to convey the unforgettable memories created while on the trip.

To make the whole experience more tasteful the owners enjoyed an Indian High Tea.  Thank you Anu, Mary, Eugenia and Olivera for your effort and hard work on this event!

We are pleased to announce our newly renovated Guest Suite is now Open!  Our Board Members have worked hard on the full refurbishment boasting newly painted walls, brand new carpet, soft furnishings and, the most important part of the stay, beautiful brand new bed frames and mattress.  You will be guaranteed a great night’s sleep with us and be able to enjoy a continental breakfast in our dining room in the morning.  As you can see we have all the guest room amenities you will require to have the most comfortable stay.  We would like to give a special thank you to Board Member Vicky Brown for all her hard work on this project as she really was hands on in ensuring the end result was perfect.

Here at Browning Court we take any opportunity to celebrate... National Banana Day was very entertaining, inclusive of a fruit basket Raffle and varieties of homemade banana cake for everyone to enjoy.  Owners also took part in a Mathematical banana quiz. 
 
Secondly... Our music entertainment night with food and singing proved to be a lovely get together for owners.

Today marks one of the most important dates in the Welsh calendar: Saint David’s Day.  A day dedicated to celebrating the patron Saint of Wales.  Brompton celebrated with coffee and a traditional Welsh cake prepared by our chef John.  Our Great Hall was wonderfully decorated with daffodil’s.  Thank you to Carol our Duty Manager for organising and running the event.
