'War Night', recently held at Browning Court, included Keyboard playing, singing and poetry from the 1st and 2nd World War, read by Owners and Staff. Refreshments were provided and a good time was had by all .
Our winter barbecue was great fun; it was a really sunny day for February. We put up the gazebo, decorated it with fairy lights and served soup and jacket potatoes to keep us all warm, along with traditional barbecue food. This was followed by hot chocolate served with cream and marshmallows or coffee served with Baileys.
Browning Court recently held a Dinner and Dance with the lovely singer Chris Hatch. There was music from all eras 50s/60/70s, some Frank Sinatra and some Country and Western. Owners enjoyed a supper of Beef Bourguignon served with crusty bread, followed by coffee and mints. A great evening with lots of Dancing and singing enjoyed by all.
Browning Court has been unwinding from the Summer and getting ready for Autumn, but not without our last Summer Barbecue which was enjoyed by all. There was also an impromptu Raffle and we served Homemade Steak burgers and Fresh Onions, with a Tropical Juice.
As the weather is changing we are hosting a number of activities including Coffee Morning's in conjunction with bringing a range of fashions. We are now also serving Hot Chocolate in the Bistro along with Scrambled egg and Bacon!
Owners enjoyed a fabulous party on Saturday at Browning Court in celebration of the exciting Royal Wedding, including a beautiful cake made by our cook, Natalie. Salmon pate followed by Lamb Shank with duchess potatoes and asparagus, a Royal Trifle with Logan berries, blackberries and raspberries, and champagne was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
