We started the lead up early with a Kings Coronation display by our Duty Manager Suzie and Mrs Jones, Suzie used her talented craft skills to make us a Crown and Mrs Jones chalk drew a picture of King Charles III.
What a weekend! We kicked off on Friday with our monthly chat club following the Coronation theme with some beautiful cakes made by Jenny Shieldhouse which looked and tasted fabulous.
On Saturday owners enjoyed the Kings Coronation ceremony played on our big screen with our tea and coffee station on hand to see them through.
Sunday evening we had the big screen back in action again to show the Coronation Concert with amazing acts and light show.
Monday's Bank Holiday finished off the weekend perfectly with our King’s Coronation Tea Party & Singalong; owners put on their posh hats and glad rags and joined us for a Royal Tea Party with a sing-a-long to many of our favourite tunes… I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles, Maybe Its Because I’m a Londoner, Daisy Daisy, Lambeth Walk and many more. All washed down with a class of prosecco, scones, sandwiches and tasty mini cakes.
We dressed the dining room and tables to match the theme all weekend for our diners to enjoy too. Brompton would like to give a massive thank you to Suzie our Duty Manager for all her hard work on planning the whole weekend events and decoration in and around the Court. Also a special thank you to Carole for working hard running the events and to Tracy and Teresa for their amazing outfits for Monday’s Tea Party.
