COVID restrictions put a severe dampener on our social activities and meant the dining room was closed. Meals have been delivered to any owners wanting a meal free of delivery charge. All the owners (and staff) are looking forward to the relaxation of COVID restrictions, and the better weather. Unfortunately, during December 2020 our ivy-covered fence in our entrance drive started toppling over. We now have a brand-new fence and today the re-turfing of our front lawn has started. Recently, when it has been sunny, quite a few owners have been sitting in our main garden (socially distanced of course). As shops and hairdressers have been able to open Nail Candy is returning later this month. |
Later that week Helen our fitness coach is starting a series of six exercise classes.
On June 21st (the first day social activities can restart) one of our owners wants her birthday party to be held in the lounge.
Also restarting will be our monthly whist drive (1st Thursday) and also the quiz nights (3rd Thursday) together with our regular coffee morning and chat nights.
In early July we have a Court arranged social event with a buffet and entertainment with Daryl Kane.
In August we will be holding the ‘Pimms on the Patio’ event which is always very well attended. On the same day the new Court Manager, Julie, takes over following the retirement of Andrew who has been in charge for the last 14¾ years.
