March was a party month in Farthing Court. What was originally meant to be just a small tea party for her children and grandchildren, somehow snowballed into an amazing 102nd Birthday celebration for Rosalind Miller: “Who has now lived longer than Queen Elizabeth, 96 when she passed away last year. Longer than Margaret Thatcher – 88 and Golda Meir 80 to name a few other impressive women. Longer than Henry Kissinger, a mere one hundred and exactly twice as long as Shakespeare who died at age of 51” to quote Paul, Mrs Miller’s son. He continued: | |
Mrs Miller said to her son that the hardest part of getting to her current age is that there is not much to look forward to any more. So, next year, it is in the diary, there is going to be an even bigger party than this year for her to look forward to.
There were three parties held to make sure everyone was invited and had a chance to wish Renee a Happy Birthday. Renee has kindly asked her guests not to bring gifts, but, if they are happy, to make a charity donation to Hatzola Edgware Emergency Services instead. More than £200 was collected!
