The building is warm and cosy and we’re beginning to think of Christmas……The trees will go up in the foyer and communal lounge on 30th November so that it will be very festive here for the Salvation Army carol singing on 11th December.
The Social events are going well and regular groups are well attended. The ladies of the knitting group are currently concentrating on making bobble hats for the local maternity hospitals. These have either red, orange or green bobbles on and are used to show which newly- born babies need most close monitoring, red being the highest.
The two music appreciation groups are popular and a wide selection has been brought to share …. Bruce Springsteen, Dean Martin, Jazz, blues and classical to name some.
We’re not going to get the “winter blues “ here! There’s too much to do!
