We welcomed local residents to our very first Open Day, which gave us a chance to show what life could be like for them in the future and show our lovely grounds and apartments.
March saw us celebrate the 99th birthday of one of our most beloved residents, Mr Frank Lumb, who enjoyed his birthday tea and cakes surrounded by friends.
Easter is always a special occasion at Gresham Court and this year saw us have many special events, including hot cross buns in the lounge on Good Friday, a traditional Easter Sunday meal of roast lamb and a special meal on Easter Monday attended by friends and family of our residents.
Our usual film night continues to take place every four weeks with owners enjoying a range of different films such as the classic ‘An Affair to Remember’ starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, and is always enjoyed by those attending.
We had a special May bank holiday meal with several guests enjoying a fine dining menu including bacon wrapped cod and baked avocado.
And finally, we said goodbye to a much loved member of staff, our duty manager Asher who is moving on to a new job with the council. She is being replaced by Sandra, a lovely woman who has already worked at the court for several years and is well received.
